Shaw Cable - Worst customer service

Tried to cancel my cable service thru phone since it was the only way to cancel it but waited from 5pm to 830pm ...they said it's gonna be 35mins wait but ended up more than 3 hrs but when you pressed the new customer service option you will be answered instantly and when they learned that you want another service not applying as a new customer they will put you on hold again......poor service.
Reason of review: Poor customer service.
Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.

Those jokers are there to rip people off. Talk to them what is best deal it is always something that none like to watch. Terrible responds times and no common sens
What a joke, I get 2 emails noting my overdue account call them to discounnect service due to unexpected financial problem and they won't disconnect until bill is paid. Try not to let bill run up any more and this is what you get, they'll get nowhere with that strategy.
This is par for the course of the type of service from the get go. 1st they bill 2 months in advance which right off had me thinking oh yea here we go then in the 1st month their service fails and they can't get a service rep out for a week "But" they'll credit me 2 weeks for the inconvienence. Try and collect with this type of service while I go to the mail competitor that knows how to do business and take care of customers.
Shaw would do well to do less marketing and advertising and actually try service. Time to sell out and get out guys.
Look at their stock prices. It declining rapidly but it went back up last two days. Sell yours and get out of theyr overpriced service
That is Shaw's method of operation for every customer, whether you are a brand new customer or been with them for 20 plus years. Unacceptable.
Yesterday 2 hours no call back. Today (November 17/19) another 2 hour wait.
Used the chat room to get some satisfaction and all they wanted to do was switch my billing to pick it off of the net. Could not get that through the guys head.
Been a custom 10 years and now I what to put on the sport package to watch CFL football and here I sit waiting on the second call today only thirty five minutes and waiting at the present time 1 and a quarter hours. Maybe it would be time to move back of BELL!
go back to bell, i'm sure they will have you back, Shaw going downhill, they layed off front-line workers. long hold times. i cancelled last august

Absolutely the worse customer service of any company I've ever dealt with. And it has been going on for forty plus years.
Why use the term customer service cause SHAW doesn't know what it means. Incredible....the CRTC should investigate this company and consider financial sanctions.....the SHAW family certainly pay themselves very well!!

What i did is i went to shaw communications in south gate with the cable box and they gave me a direct number that i can call to cancel my cable connection...Finally it's done......so this is how it works,you have to waste time calling them plus the fact that you have to drive all the way to edmonton just to make it happen...so annoyed
You still keep their internet and did you get a deal on internet?
2hours plus here - still waiting, its an obvious market manipulation and the regulators should step in (CRTC)
Same thing for us been on hold 2-1/2 hours with no end in site. This is an obvious manipulation to avoid cancelations, and should be investigated and regulated by CRTC.

trying to cancel your shaw service is a nightmare. 2 hrs and still waiting.
